Riding in Ring

It is important to adhere to the farm rules for both the safety of the animals and for your own safety and enjoyment of the facilities.

  • Parking- to the right of the barn lane where specified when conditions permit

  • Bathroom Privileges- please ask

  • Barn Hours- Anytime from 7am to 9pm

  • Riding Arena- Please check the riding schedule posted in the barn. Write the times you wish to use the arena in available time slots.

  • Owner takes proper care of his/her own horse

  • No running, screaming, abusive behaviour or language

  • Children under 7 must be supervised

  • No smoking

  • Feeding times- 2 flakes of hay per horse 3 times a day spaced evenly. Pasture grass during summer. Sweet feed daily in the morning, plus supplements upon owner request.

  • Provide Hay, Feed, Bedding

  • Fresh water & clean buckets

  • Clean stalls

  • Turn out

  • Safe Fences

  • Safe pastures (toxic weeds, nails, glass, etc.)

  • Safe handling (always use a lead rope)

  • Safe storage of barn tools

  • Insurance of barn

  • *Exercising 3 times per week- *Can be arranged as an additional service.

  • All vet bills

  • All hoof care

  • Worming (2 to 4 times per year)

  • Grooming, training and exercising your horse (*unless otherwise arranged.)

  • Vaccinations, supplements and medical supplies

  • Tack

  • 30 days notice is required when vacating the barn.

  • Insurance of Animal

  • The boarder acknowledges that Spirit Reins Ranch is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to any boarders’ property or animal while boarding at the facility

  • Spirit Reins Ranch reserves the right to call a veterinarian if a boarder seems to be in distress and the owner cannot be reached.

  • Spirit Reins Ranch reserves the right to give notice to any boarder who does not comply with the stable guidelines.
